Remediation that returns value!
By systematically recruiting free H2O, PlasmaShine is able to extract clean water from the current state thereby concentrating the valuable nutrients into a recoverable feedstock for creating fertilizer.
Alkaline Hydrolysis Utilization
Alkaline Hydrolysis is a chemical process that uses a mixture of water and a strong alkali (typically potassium hydroxide) heated to accelerate the breakdown of organic material, leaving behind only mineral solids and a sterile liquid effluent. The process takes place in a stainless steel vessel containing a solution of approximately 95% water and 5% alkali, heated to around 200°F to 300°F and gently circulated for 3 to 18 hours depending on the equipment configuration. Organics dissolve into a sterile liquid containing amino acids, salts, and sugars, while the remaining mineral solids can be dried and processed into a fine powder.
The resulting liquid effluent is nutrient-rich and compatible with municipal wastewater systems, where it serves as a beneficial addition to water treatment facilities. From an environmental standpoint, Alkaline Hydrolysis consumes roughly 10% to 20% of the energy required by thermal alternatives, typically operates on electricity rather than natural gas, and produces zero greenhouse gas emissions with no release of mercury or carbon into the atmosphere.
